I grew up in a family where the family business was interior design. My parent's company furnished and decorated model homes for some of the nation's largest home building companies across the country.
From the time I could carry a lamp, I was with my parents learning how to work and get jobs done the right way.
The time spent working in our family business was time spent learning important life lessons. Always being honest. Always giving your best efforts. Staying grounded. These are life lessons I'm teaching my daughters and that guide my daily efforts now.
